Personal Conduct
As an employee of the HSF, each of us is a representative of Humber. It is our responsibility to conduct ourselves in a professional manner. |

Each student employee is considered to be a temporary part-time employee of the Humber Students’ Federation. Therefore, every student worker should conduct himself/herself in a professional manner.
The following general regulations are applicable to all student workers:

All students are expected to work their assigned number of hours each week.
Any deviations from the work schedule must first be cleared with the supervisor.
Students are expected to notify their supervisor when they are unable to attend to their responsibilities (i.e. sick, car problems, school conflicts, etc.) with appropriate notice.
All students will punch in and out each time they report to work or will not be paid for that time.
Employees must be prompt and dependable. Punctuality is vital to customer service and fosters consideration for fellow employ ees. Tardiness will not be accepted.
All students who are eligible for Work Study must apply at the Career Center and submit a resume and cover letter.

In addition to student employees, supervisors are also expected to adhere to certain rules. The supervisor should: |

Set-up desired working schedule with student and obtain informa tion (name, address, phone number, etc.) for future reference
if necessary.
Define student’s duties.
Train students properly for duties assigned.
Provide day-to-day supervision.
Complete and sign time sheets for students and ensure their accuracy on a bi-weekly basis.
Advise students about their job if problems of attendance or assignments occur. |
